Golf has more data than ever. None of it tells you what to practice.
Strokes gained. GIR. Attack angle. Spin rate. You finish a round or a sim session and stare at numbers that mean nothing. The Cut reads all of it and gives you one clear answer.
What The Cut actually does
Your data has been speaking. Here’s the translation.
Every number on your launch monitor or scorecard means something specific about your game. Most apps just show you the number. The Cut tells you what to do about it.
Raw stat
Strokes Gained: −1.8
Approach play, 150+ yards
The Cut says
You’re losing nearly 2 shots per round from 150+ yards. Your miss pattern says short-right. Work on 7-iron compression — not your swing path.
Raw stat
Attack Angle: −3.2°
Driver, last 4 sim sessions
The Cut says
You’re hitting down on the driver and adding 800+ RPM of spin every session. Ball position and tee height fix this. You’re leaving 15 yards on every tee shot.
Raw stat
GIR: 7/18
Last 5 rounds tracked
The Cut says
Your putting stats are fine. The problem is approach, not short game. You’re not making putts because you’re not hitting greens — don’t work on putting.
Raw stat
Spin Rate: 3,200 RPM
Driver avg, 8 sessions
The Cut says
At your swing speed, optimal spin is under 2,400. You’re adding 800 RPM of drag on every drive — that’s 12–18 yards you’re not getting.

What golfers say
The data was always there. Nobody explained it.
"I had no idea what strokes gained meant. I just knew my scores weren't improving. The Cut looked at three months of Golfshot data and told me in one sentence — I was losing two shots a round from 50 yards and in. Six weeks later I'm shooting three strokes better."
"I go to the sim twice a week with no real direction. My Trackman said spin was high but I didn't know what to do. The Cut told me I was hitting down on the driver. Three sessions later my spin dropped 600 RPM. Carrying it 15 yards further."
"The caddie feature is what got me. I described a par 4 with water left and it told me to hit 5 wood based on my miss data. I would have hit driver. Hit the 5 wood, made par. Happened three times that round. Shot 78 for the first time."
"I had a full summer of 18Birdies data I couldn't make sense of. Then winter hit and I started at the sim. The Cut connected both — cross-referenced on-course patterns with sim numbers. Found what neither app could see alone: approach holds in the sim but collapses on course under pressure."
"I play a lot of 9-hole rounds after work and my scoring app kept averaging them wrong. The Cut tracks them separately, knows what's a full round and what isn't, and gives me feedback that actually reflects how I'm playing."
"Sent photos of my bag and my last five sim sessions. The Cut told me my shaft is too heavy for my swing speed and that's contributing to my high spin. Now I have something specific to ask about at a fitting."

Questions
What is The Cut, exactly?
Is this an app or a website?
The Cut is an AI coaching assistant you access via chat — on your phone or desktop. No app to download yet. You send it your data, it responds with coaching. Simple as that.
What launch monitors and apps does it work with?
Any of them. Trackman, Foresight, Full Swing, GSPro, Garmin, Mevo — just screenshot the results and send it. For rounds: Golfshot, 18Birdies, The Grint, Arccos, or a photo of a paper scorecard. If it has data on it, The Cut can read it.
Do I need to manually enter my scores?
No. Send a screenshot, a photo, a CSV export, or just describe what happened. The Cut reads any format and logs it automatically — including pulling course data, distances, and par for the holes you played.
What's the difference between Coach and Caddie?
Coach is your after brain — it reviews your rounds and sim sessions and tells you what to work on next. You're not talking to it live. Caddie is live — mid-sim, mid-round, watching golf on TV. You describe the situation, it responds in real time based on your complete history.
How do I actually send my data?
Any way you have it. Photo of a paper scorecard, screenshot from 18Birdies or Golfshot or The Grint, CSV export from any app, or a sim session screenshot from Trackman, Foresight, Full Swing, or GSPro. Even just typing what happened works. The Cut reads any format and logs it automatically — including pulling course distances, par, and layout data.
When does it launch?
We're in early development. Join the waitlist and you'll be among the first to get access — and your feedback will shape what gets built.
